DEAR JOANN AND FAMILY, MY HEART HURTS FOR MY GOOD FRIEND PHIL. PHIL BALDWIN WAS A GREAT AND VERY DIGNIFIED MAN. WE KNOW HE IS IN A BETTER PLACE. PHIL WILL ALWAYS BE SADLY MISSED BY ALL OF US THAT WERE LUCKY TO HAVE KNOWN HIM. I WILL REMEMBER HIM FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. LOVE, JACK CROWELL AND FAMILY

I remember Phil Baldwin as a young girl growing up on Wood Street. My brothers use to talk about him and his great athletic skills. I always thought of him as the Wood Street movie star, once he returned from the Olympics representing the United States. Phil was always a wonderful person, and will be greatly missed in the Muskegon Heights area.

To the entire Baldwin Family:
May God's grace comfort you all in your time of sorrow. Mr. Baldwin always had a very humble spirit about himself that made anybody smile. May his memories live on forever in your hearts!

Your family does not know me, but I went to Muskegon Hts High School with Phil. He was one of the best athletes in his high school days. I remember him to be a quiet kind of guy. Was always very kind and friendly to everyone who crossed his path. Always had a sweet smile on his face. My condolences to the family. I know he left many sweet memories for you to remember for many years.
Blessings Mary Lou
