Not sure what to say?

A true humanitarian, brilliant counselor, a man of noble and just character and well-chosen, well-spoken words, George exemplifies the highest prosecutorial merit of any J.D. I had the honor of transcribing. His presence lights the darkness still. May his family take solace in the continuing recognition of his accomplishments.

I was one of many that took care of Mr Best at St Marys. i can say that in the short time I knew him he put his all in his work. Faith. And family. Prayers to all of you as you go through this difficult time. George, you may not have made it to that tropical island to relax but where you are now I can only imagine is beautiful and so peaceful. R.I.P.

George will be greatly missed by the Saginaw County 10th Circuit Court Office. Whenever, he came to our office in the basement he was always cheerful & would tell us stories & jokes. God bless the families & give them strength, during this time of mourning.

George Best had the rare distinction of living both passionately and humbly. Throughout the years that we have known him, he protected his community from destructive influences and contributed in both large and small ways--a few things that come to mind are his practical support for others who were grieving, his long volunteer work as a Law Day coach for mock trials, and frequent encouragement to the youth by mentoring, by helping to construct or paint program sets, by clear-cutting a hill...

George & I worked together when he was assigned to the Wayne County Pros. Office. He guided me during the "First Reverse Sting" where police under strict guidelines sold narcotics to drug dealers. The case was challanged to our highest court and it withstood the legal challange. I will miss my friend. (Bill B., retired Detroit Police)
