Not sure what to say?

I remember Dr. Catmull from Granite High. He was a good man. When I think about him, I remember him as a man with with integrity and kindness. My condolences to his loved ones.

I was a student at Granite High School when Mr. Catmull was the principle. I remember him as a fun, and caring example to most of us. I wish I had known about his Marine Corp service. It would have been fantastic to listen to any of the things that he would have been willing to share. As a 26 years USAF vet, I salute Mr. Catmull.

Dear Catmull Family,
Your Dad Dr. Catmull was such an inspiration to me. He had faith in me when I didn't have it in myself. I was a good student and wasn't ever in trouble but he gave me his Principal's Award Sholarship my senior year that helped get me to college. I consider him a mentor and a friend. He is a part of my story! He was at the restaurant when my husband proposed to me! It was the first time we had seen each other since my graduation from Granite High School and he...

Dr. Catmull, in 1981, hired me as one of what I considered an outstanding group of educators to open Taylorsville High School. Of all the administrators I worked under, he was my favorite. There can be no doubt that he truly was one of "Americas Greatest Generation". His booming voice will be missed, but his influence will always be felt by the students he taught and the people who worked under his tutelage.

As my ninth grade Algebra Teacher, he is a teacher I will never forget. He spent an hour each day after school to help me grasp the concepts of this subject. He didn't have to do that, he just wanted to help me learn. That paid off greatly from that point on in my educational path. He was a hero to me, and an educator I will always remember in my heart.

I send condolences to the Catmull family for the loss of their very remarkable father and grandfather, A. Earl Catmull.

He was my Principal at Skyline HS at its opening and a true "Pal" to me as he influenced me in my career choice of now over 50 years! Not as an educator but in Engineering

Aloha. We will miss you, Earl. Love, your daughter-in-law, Susan Marie Anderson Catmull.
