A. Crawford Cooley

Mr. Cooley was the most honored and wonderful friend my family has ever known. I knew him since I was a boy and went on fishing weekends at his ranch in Cloverdale. Later it would be deer hunting one weekend every summer. After my father died at 54 Mr. Cooley offered to put me through college and I could go to him and did with any problems in my life. He was simply the finest example of a true gentleman and to me, a benevolent Prince of California. I will never forget his wisdom, kindness...

He was a giving , gracious and honorable man . My deepest respect and condolences .

I worked for him one harvest at Hacienda Wine Cellars. A good and honorable man. Rest easy, Crawford. Condolences to his family.

I will always remember Crawford as such a commanding presence..... bright, engaging and never predictable! He leaves a wonderful legacy in his children, grandchildren and the many organizations with which he shared his talent. He will be greatly missed.
