Not sure what to say?

My sympathies go out to Joe's family. Joe was one my favorite patients at Glacier Hills, and I am glad I got to be a part of his life for the short time I knew him. I am so glad to hear he made it to 100. Best wishes to his family, and I will think of him for the great life he lived.

Joe was a dear friend. We had coffee together over the years and what I treasure about Joe was that he was a master story teller--in particular, he was at his best when relating how after having parachuted out of a flaming bomber over Germany he survived and soon found himself in a prison camp. Joe's ability to describe characteristics of other prisoners and their amusing survival techniques ....in particular the ability of Brit prisoners to put together bits and pieces of items in the...

Rest in peace, Joe. As little children living across from you and Ruth on Shadford, our warmth and smile and humor touched our lives. And through your shared deep love of photography, the life of our father, Nate Caplan. Hard to say deep condolences to the family given a life so well lived. But we are sorry for the loss and send our deep affection. The Caplan girls - Maia, Beth, and Karen

I was thinking of Joe & Ruthie the other day, wondering how they were. They were the dearest sweetest regular customers of mine at Panera Bread years ago for years. Always happy & smiling, Joe taking care of Ruthie .... You both will always have a special place in my heart. Rest peacefully my friends

Joe and Ruth meant the world to me, as I spent nearly 30 years as their housekeeper. It was definitely more than that though, they always treated me like family. I will miss seeing Joe every week, but I know he is anxious to see Ruth again. Many sympathies to the whole family.

Dear Julie and Andy, I was so sorry to learn of the passing of your dad. Your parents and Michael and I were neighbors and great friends for decades. We moved in next door to them on Shadford Rd. in 1974 and lived between them and Sue Kister until they moved to Glacier Hills. We shared so many memories over the years of watching children and grandchildren growing and spreading their wings. The storm last night night reminded me of the time when Joe and Ruth stayed with us for a week when...

I was so looking forward to meeting up with Joe this coming Monday as I make my annual Purim package deliveries at Glacier Hills. So sad. Even after Ruth passed away, we would continue visiting and shmoozing about the "good old days."

He missed Ruth terribly and our last couple of visits were not such happy ones.

May Joe rest in peace and may his memory be for a blessing. Please accept heartfelt sympathy to all the family--and wishing you all long life

Dear, Andy and Cindy , what a great life you´re Dad lived ! Thinking of you all, sending lots of love and prayers to all! Ormond Beach Fl .
