My prayers are with you at this time. When my late wife Susie(died 2018) and I moved to Roanoke to join Earle Glendy and Buck Crockett in medical practice in 1955 a friendship developed as couples having our young family.(Sally 1955, Nancy,´58 and Frank Jr `60.) When Lin ran for governor in 1969 we had returned to C´ville .;their was a gathering at our house in Edna´s Forest with Lin and Jinks and their supporters.Lin lived the Christian le as expressed in Mathew 5:16 -May you find peace and...

God bless the family. What a magnificent, spiritual and productive life he lived.Rest in peace. . Linwood and my mother were first cousins. As I understand from Harriet he was even in my parent's wedding. The family and the commonwealth have lost a rare man of faith and principle. May the family find peace and comfort through their faith.

The Harrises are quite saddened by the loss of a great friend. Ray Sr. spoke often of his friendship and relationship with Gov. Holton. Whenever Rayford Jr. happened to run into the Governor, he made sure to express greetings from Ray Sr. Mr. Holton was such a presence and always a great soul. May the family be comforted by the many pleasant memories of a life well lived.
