His tall gruff stature made him somewhat intimidating but those who knew him knew that he was a big ole teddy bear with a caring heart to help others. Heaven has gained a angel. Dear Connie, I am sorry to hear this news, but being only one year younger than Lamar, it has become an expected happening among my friends. I admired you and Lamar. I wish we had had more contact through the years. What a busy life you two lived! Dothan has lost an important and productive citizen. I am doing well for my 92 years.
