Bill was an awesome man; he supported nurse midwives and women for so long. He personally also was very kind to my family when my spouse struggled with brain cancer and later died. Dr, schafer brought our four children into the world, Our
first was born thirty-eight years ago and he was in his mid
thirties. Then with our other children we enjoyed the birthing
room and the dinner for two at the hospital. He will truly
be missed. May God bless you and your family.

My four children were safely and gently brought into the world with the guidance and care of Dr. Schafer and you. I am so sorry for your loss - he was a special man and doctor, and I will long honor his memory and good work in promoting and providing natural birth experiences. He was a good man.
