Not sure what to say?

Always grateful to michael

I heard of Michael's death late yesterday upon returning from Lancaster, PA.
No DeSisto school parent will ever forget Michael DeSisto, and the many lessons we learned as parents in his groups.
Seventeen years ago, I went through enormous publicity for putting my then sixteen year old daughter into a hospital, and subsequently to The DeSisto School.
At that time, I desperately needed support to get my daughter onto a safer road.

Michael was, is, forever will be, all about love. Blessed are we who have lived in his love. Let us love on in his spirit.

Dear Margie, Students, Staff, Parents, and Alumni,
Our hearts and prayers are with each of you during this time a great mourning. Michael was an incredible person and teacher with commitment and love beyond measure. There are no words to adequately express the deep gratitude we feel for all he did for our family. Though Michael's physical presence is gone, his spirit will forever abide with us as we continue to learn and live the lessons he taught.
With great sorrow, Penny and...

Michael was a wonderful, caring man with the greatest insight for finding out what old hurts can still effect and inhibit personal growth. His example and his personal story of triumph over his own issues will always inspire me.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of michael. He played a tremendous impact in the lives of so many families. Michael helped every member of every family and with great passion. He guided my son, Jason, and I am eternally greatful. His devotion and concern for me as well will live on with me forever. Heartfelt condolensces to Margie and the entire Desisto family.

Michael made life changing contributions to many children and their families and to non-traditional education. I have heard from more than one person that he, Michael, saved my life or the life of their child. His dedication to working with adolescents and their families, the committment to his philosophy and his willingness to take risks and utilize unconventional strategies can not be easily compared. Michael will be missed by many. If you're listening Michael, thank you for all you are and...

Michael's life was another proof for me that everything is possible with conviction. I will miss him.
