A.J. "Jaybird" Mackey

MORGANFIELD, Ky. — A.J. "Jaybird" Mackey, 75, died Jan. 5, 2007, at his home.

He retired from Peabody Coal Company.

Surviving are a daughter, Jennifer Thomas; sister, Ella Gibson; brothers, Bill and Sam; and a grandchild.
