Not sure what to say?

Aaron Douglas Aikin, for the better part of 10 yrs you graced us with your charm, wit, laughter and genuine love that could only be Aaron. Your presence in our lives was truly a blessing and a joy. My sofa has a permanent Aikin form in it, my pantry was and still is stocked with “Goldfish” crackers and “Dr. Pepper”, the one time I forgot to restock, oh man, the look on your face was priceless, needless to say I NEVER forgot after that!!! Thank you for all of the wonderful memories, shots...

Dr. Aikin and family,
I knew Aaron through marching band and all of our high school classes together and am so sorry to hear of your untimely loss of your bright, witty and warmhearted son. My thoughts are with your family.

Dear Dr. Aikin and Aaron's brothers -
I was so saddened to hear of your loss. I knew Aaron and Taylor in high school, and I still think so fondly on those times. Aaron shone brilliantly even then, and I am grateful for having known him. You will be in both my family's and my thoughts and prayers.

To the family of Aaron Aikin: We only knew your son through my sister, Becky Gray. Unfortunately, we were not able to personally meet him, and for that, we will always have regret. There are no words that can be said to take the pain and heartache away. Embrace the memories you carry in your hearts, as they will never die; and celebrate Aaron's life as often as possible. You all are in our thoughts and prayers daily. May God's grace and mercy surround you until you see your...

I was in your office just yesterday and was not aware of the passing of your son. I heard it from a mutual friend who attended boy scouts with you many years ago.We cannot imagine the sorrow you are experiencing. I wish I could have expressed my sympathy in person yesterday.May your son rest in peace and may God help you through these times. Our deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. Your son attended a birthday party for my daughter a year ago. He had a wonderful sense of humor. I also lost a son a year ago ... May the loving arms of angels surround you now and always. I have a wonderful poem that gives me comfort - if you wish to have it please email me. God bless you and your family.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Aaron. I had the pleasure of conversing with him several times in the engineering lab. I will treasure my memories of him as a kind, gentle, thoughtful soul. Let us be grateful for the time he was with us, and for being able to share life with him.

We did not know Aaron, but we want to express our deepest sympathy to Dr. Jack Aikin and his family. Knowing what an amazing man and doctor Dr. Aikin is, we can only imagine the kind of person Aaron must have been. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Nadine Jessen (and the 5th floor nurses at Littleton Hospital)

Though I didn't see him during my last Colorado visit, I knew Aaron as a friend, as a roommate, a CU cappella associate, and as a bandmate (not that what I've just specified drastically narrows it down). But that is my point. He knew and affected many, and I for one really looked up to him. His impeccable ear and musical 6th sense were beyond incredible - almost outshining his Taco Bell/Dr. Pepper intake. I will miss his intellect, his talent, his music, and just goofy Aaron; however, I am...
