Not sure what to say?

Often think about you dear friend. Rest in heavenly peace.

I was a member of the first integration class of Muskogee High School. It was the fall of 1970, and Mr. Burr taught me history. We were all getting used to it all. Mr. Burr was one of 3 black teachers I had, introducing me to a whole new world, a world I cherish to this day, a world where we live together as a people, instead of fearing and hating. I have always remembered him, and today I pause as I learn of his passing. Thank you, Mr. Burr, for all you did for us way back then! ...

Aaron and I had many conversions about everything from work to Jazz. He always took a moment to talk. He taught me a lot through words and his class. He will be truly missed.

Have hope in tomorrow, have faith in the everlasting, and take comfort in the love of friends and family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Aaron at the Beacon Journal. He was a first class guy.

So Sorry to hear of Mr. Burr's passing...I loved him! He was the best school counselors ever! He taught me a lot, including how to tie a tie...which I then proudly tied my Dad's ties for many years! He was a good man! My Deepest Sympathy! May God bless and keep you all, in your time of need!

Margret. May you find peace and comfort. God bless you.

Condolences to the family.
