Aaron C. Flannery

It is now 2022. Aaron's oldest children are done with their initial college programs and working at careers they like. The youngest, Marisa, is still at the University of Michgan. They are young adults that Aaron would be proud of for the values they have absorbed and retained. It is amazing what good parents can do. If I could, I would be sure that all children were part of a two parent household for as long as possible with parents who took the time to teach their children what they felt...

To Aaron's Navy Cohorts Brian, Rob, Jeff, and Marty- thank you for writing. I friend of mine sent me back to this book, and I was so surprised to see the recent entries from you. I truly appreciate hearing from you and am so glad I kept this book open. I hope to hear from more of his Navy friends in the future. At his funeral the Navy Brass credited him with bringing night vision goggles to the Navy. First he taught himself, then his squadron. Then other squadrons until Big Navy found out and...

I also was one of Aaron's friends and classmates from our AOC Class 40-85. Aaron was a kind and gentle. A good man with a great heart. I only recently became aware of Aaron's passing. He is deeply missed and will be in my thought and prayers hereafter.

I was one of Aaron's friends and classmates from our AOC Class 40-85. I was so sorry to hear about his passing recently. I have great memories of the time I spent with Aaron during our time in Pensacola. He always had a way to make every situation better. Plus, he always kept us out of trouble. I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers.

Recently, several classmates of Aaron's AOCS class (40-85) have been in contact on Facebook and mostly via email and Zoom. It caused me to take a moment and remember all the great classmates I got commissioned with. Aaron was a great guy. Very laid back. Quiet but confident. I didn't know where he was from when we first met but I know I imagined him as a surfer in Southern California! I know that he is sorely missed by friends and family alike.

I only recently learned of Aaron's passing after searching for old classmates following a recent Officer Candidate School Reunion. I will always remember Aaron as young and full of life, with a quick smile and the ability to make everyone around him happy. I will keep him and his family in my thoughts and prayers always.

On October 11th, 2008, Aaron will be inducted into the Montrose Hall of Fame. He has been selected to receive this year's Achievement Award. The event begins at 5:30PM and includes dinner.
