I am so sorry for the loss of your father. I lost my mother (cancer) on December 28th. I know you will find strengh in God and memories you shared.

I remember playing with Alan when i was a little boy and all of the fun times we had. Alan's mother and
my mother were sisters.. My heart and prayers goes out to all of the HESS Family in this time of grief.

Ginnie Sue,
My husband and I have been out of the country and did not know about Alan until in Sunday School this morning at Jasper First Baptist. You visited our S.S. class when he was leading our music for a couple of Sundays. You and your family were remembered in prayer today.

Ginnie Sue,
I hope that you feel the prayers of so many that are with you at this time. I know how much you loved your husband and I that you were blessed with such a wonderful marriage. With the help of God and the support of your children and mother, you will make it through.

Ginny Sue & Family, you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Alan was such a wonderful man of God, and always had a smile upon his face whenever we were around him. We enjoyed his music at Ridgecrest and missed you all when God called him on to his next church. So many lives were touched just by knowing Alan and we are so thankful to have known such a wonderful man of God.

Mr. Hess was my Band Director at Ensley High School from 1972 until he left in 1975. Because of his passion for music, he instilled in me a lifelong love of music. One of my fondest memories of high school was sitting in the band room while we "attempted" to play one of his favorite songs, Chicago's "25 or 6 to 4" ....and no matter how badly we played, he always had a positive and encouraging word. Throughout the years, when I would hear this song, I always thought of Mr. Hess. ...

Ginnie Sue and Family,
How we rejoice in knowing Alan is with our Lord and Savior. How saddened we are for you and your family, but rest assured by the promise(s) in God's Word that you have not been forsaken. What a privilege and blessing to have known him and to have meet up ya'll not so long ago. We will continue to pray for you in the days ahead.

I was so sad to hear of the loss this week of Alan, but I know he is in Heaven and we will see him again. He and his family members were always some of my favorite staff and friends at First Baptist Center Point. I enjoyed playing in the orchestra for him at Pleasant Ridge during the Christmas season, also. He will be greatly missed. I will be keeping Ginnie Sue and the family in my prayers.
