Not sure what to say?

Cubby was a wonderful man. So gentle, loving preacher and just an all around perfect person. I miss him very much. It seems very odd to go to the church and not see him there. Yet I still visualize him standing at the pulpit talking with his hands as he often did. And I still here him say - "how ya doin Austin?" and to me "do I know you?" with a joking smile on his face. He is now in heaven preparing a home for all his family. What a wonderful time that will be!

Dear Sister Pettry, Dollie, Lee...My family and I are so sorry for your loss. Words cannot express how we feel about Brother Pettry; I am glad to have known all of you for so many years. Bro. Pettry lived what he preached and was one of the kindest persons I have ever known. I recall the story he told in church one night....about someone stealing a Bible from his vehicle. He was not angry; he just asked the Lord to help them be saved. When Karen and I visited with you in August he told Karen...

Dear Bertha & family, I was shocked to read of Bro. Pettry's passing. I haven't heard from you since Jim's passing so I'm sorry I did not know of his illness. He was a wonderful man of God and Jim loved him so. I have great memories of our times together and the kind, gentle and loving spirit he had. I am so sorry for your loss and I am sorry to have missed his home going service. He will greatly be missed by all that loved him. Love, JoAnn Underwood

Mrs. Pettry,
Ronald and I are so very sorry to hear of your loss!! We were not aware that Rev. Pettry had been ill. Ronald just found out and is broken hearted!! He loved Rev. Pettry so much and he would have liked to have visited with him. One thing we are all certain of is that he is in heaven with GOD saying to him; "well done, good and faithful servant"!! That is what he was he was!! A wonderful and kind hearted man!!! All our love to you and the family, Ronald and Betty Hodges
