Not sure what to say?

Aaron was a very close friend. He was also the guy that jumped in and helped me out in a scrape. There were others along the way that have had their opportunity and chance, but he´s the only one who actually did. I´ll add that his sterling record of being a man among men coincided with the fact that my luck in finding knuckleheads seemed to include him on numerous occasions. Because of our friendship and that short period of time we had together, He aided me in the heat of battle no less...

It has been no less than 16 years since he passed, and yet the pain is still fresh and alive. I check this page from time to time, just to re-read all of the lovely heartfelt messages from friends and family. I don't think I'll ever stop missing him. He was more than my uncle, he was my father figure. Life hasn't been the same without him. Love you uncle Aaron.

Always remembering Aaron. "Some gave all."

To Aaron's family,
I was a childhood friend of Aaron's. I was just made aware of his sacrifice. I am so sorry that I was not there at his funeral. He was such a great friend and kid. His mother was my cub scout den mother and was so wonderful. She is missed as well. If I could say anything to him I would hope that he knows that he will never be forgotten. He will always have a special place in my heart. I regret that I will never have the chance to reconnect with him and thank him for...

To the family and friends of Spc. Aaron L. Preston:
Please accept my remembrance of Aaron on the anniversary of his passing and know that he will never be forgotten.

I attended Aaron's burial with my son to both show my last respects to a local hero and demonstrate to my son the sacrifice that men and women have made to protect the freedoms around the world. My son has always had an interest in serving his country since he was just a small child. He needed to see first hand the impact of war on families. I remember the quiet ride back from National Cemetery and pulling into the drive and asking my son if he was sure he wanted to enlist. I will never...

I am serving in Afghanistan right now. No fight or battle will ever be in vein for our fallen brothers.

My son was just awarded a scholarship in your memory. Thank you for your service to our country and your sacrifice. Words could never express our sorrow that you sacrificed your life for our freedoms. Thank you to you and your family that your continued gift will help my son to achieve his dreams.
