I was very fortunate to be a resident of Dr Schwartz at Montefiore from 1980 to 1985. His pithy wisdom and advice resonated in my brain for many years after leaving residency. Aaron and his wonderful tribe lived across the street as our children were growing up. As a busy doctor he was off at the hospital or the fire house a lot of the time, but when present - he was VERY present with his understated chuckle, wry smile and always a comment that made you stop and think. I think he saw life from both sides and inside out as well. The last few times I spoke with him he was sad and sometimes agitated, but really enjoyed thinking back to his youthful experiences and...
