Aart was a dear and gracious friend. I met Arrt many years ago in Ronda, Spain where he and Michael lived for many years. Our meeting was by chance but we developed a dear friendship which I will always cherish. You can never replace friends like Aart and his passing leaves a void in my life for sure. I have one of Aart's paintings in my home which I walk by daily and remember his charm, wit and love. I'm proud to say we were friends!

A warm, generous and creative man. You took time to show me myself. Good memories. Thank you Aart. J X

You are among the kindest people I know on earth.
Thanks for the wonderful days and nights my wife and I spent with you and Michael in your lovely Cortijo in Ronda. Thanks a lot for your smile, your kindness, and the conversations; all too short though. You made this world a better place. Your paintings will keep you alive in our hearts and memory.
Now Rest In Peace, we love you all.

I first met Aart when I was 16 and Aart was 5 years older, we instantly became great friends although he was over 6' and I was only 5', Aart was one of the dearest, kindest and most special person to whom I owe so much for being such a profound and good influence on my life.
Thank you Aart.
