Not sure what to say?

It has been five years since you left us dad, but not a day goes by without some endearing memory of you. The world has changed since your passing - covid, elections, genocide have occurred or are ongoing, all for the worse. I often wonder what you would have made of it, glad you were spared. Mostly, wish I could still hear your laugh, hear your reminiscences, benefit from your erudition. Loving you always. S

aunti zoubaida. God Bless your soul and May God grant you The Highest Ferdaws.

Very touched by all the remembrances of my father posted here. On the first anniversary of his passing, I thank you all.

Of all the professors who taught me in UWM, he is the only one that i always check on. Somehow he left a permanent print in my memories. I took fours classes with him and they were very exiting and interesting. His teaching style was unique and pleasure to listen to. Rest In Peace Professor Hamdani. Dear Sumaiya, I am terribly saddened and heartbroken to find out by mere coincidence of uncle Abbas'passing away and before him auntie Zubeida and Amali whom I met for the last time when I went to Chicago. God Bless their souls. My deepest condolences. You know how you all were family too. I am so so saddened. May God give you strength.

Dear Sumaiya Hamdani and family, please accept these condolences from a Wisconsin colleague of Dr. Hamdani.

Dear Sumaiya,

I am very saddened to learn of your father's passing. I will always remember his wisdom and kindness.

My thoughts are with you and your family at this very difficult time.

Please contact me when you are able to do so.

I was a student of Dr. Hamdani in 1979. He was an excellent educator, the type of professor one remembers throughout your life as you look back on college.

Abbas was my introduction to Islam. In the 1970s he volunteered to serve on my Human Relations Committee formed to write a resource for the Shorewood Public Schools on teaching about religious and ethnic diversity. His knowledge of and enthusiasm for our work and his religion was a wonderful asset to the committee.
