ABDENNOUR ABROUS

1962, Abdenour Abrous rentre en Algérie. Je suis alors une gamine de 14 ans, au parcours scolaire plutôt incertain. À ce sujet, il ne me fait pas la morale, mais me demande simplement dans quoi j'aimerais étudier. Je réponds alors "le piano". Quelques jours plus tard, un piano arrive à la maison. C'est ainsi que j'ai étudié le piano au lycée, puis au conservatoire. Je lui dois ma culture musicale.
À toutes les qualités qui lui sont reconnues, il faut certainement ajouter la générosité....

Abdennour Abrous was a very serious man with a very infectious laugh. He cared deeply about the good things in life- the love of family, respect for one another, decency, beautiful music. He was a neighbor and friend for many years. We valued the time we spent with him. and he will be missed. Our hearts are full for the loss his family is experiencing . May his memory bring them solace.

Abdennour and I were born the same year and we met when were 12. It's then with a great dismay that I got the sad news of his passing away.
All of a sudden, every moment was coming back to me. our numerous years of teenage joy and happiness. then our adults long run with everlasting memories.
I knew Abdennour as a cheerful and worthy friend, respectful and respected . Always considerate and ready to help.

bdennour was a great man. He affected so many lives just by his presence. You couldnt help listening to him with awe. He was so well versed in so many areas you were sure to learn so much with any conversation with such an experienced man. He had such a great humor to keep you interested. I never quite understood why he and my late husband Abderrahmane Megateli- his best friend- would start laughing with so much warmth as soon as they looked at each other. The must be rejoicing together...

He continues to inspire those who knew him, and may his spirit continue to lift and extend the fruits and joys of his life to their ultimate expression, for the benefit of all.
