Not sure what to say?

I was also very fortunate to have Lalo as my teacher this past semester. He was the best teacher I have ever had. He was always in a good mood and it was fun to learn in his class, I am also very lucky that I had the chance to know such an amazing man. He was very passionate about everything, especially his family. He was so very proud of all of them from his parents to his wife to his children and grand children. He will be missed.

We have lost a light in the heavens, in the firmament of Chicanismo, in the world-wide struggle for human rights. Mandamos nuestros sentimientos y rezamos para la familia de "Lalo" Delgado--un gran heroe del Movimiento Chicano y tambien en la rama de la Literatura del Mundo entero. Lalo era un grán inspiracíon a todo nosotros. Guillermo y Judy Lazo, Ariana y Xochitl

Please receive my most heartfelt condolences on your loss.

When I came to Wash. DC (1974) as the national paralegal for Migrant Legal Action, Lalo was my teacher and mentor during that time. He was on the board of directors and he guided me thru the political thicket, gave me advise, encouragement and delighted me with his sense of humor, storytelling and poetry. I'm a better person for having known him.

Maestro, gracias, saludos y mucho respeto,

Lolita, Cheve and I are right there with you in your loss and your sorrow. Lalo was a giant among men and he will always be an inspiration to all of us. He is in heaven right now, basking in the smile of God. May God be with you and with your family. Nando y Cheve Cortez. PS. Mom is weak, but still active.

Lalo was a great teacher, a great mentor and a great friend. I remember when I took his class at MSCD and would give him a ride back to his office after class. My windshield washer was broken so each day when we would get to his office, he would go inside, get a bucket of water and come out and throw it on my windshield. When I finally got it fixed he asked me what was he supposed to do with the bucket of water everyday and we laughed.

Lalo will be missed by many, he touched...

I was also a student of Mr. Delgado at Metro State. One of the best courses I took. What a sweet man. My condolences to his family.

I was a student of Lalo's this past semester at Metro, and am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I found more inspiration and direction from his class than I had found during my entire college career. He has changed the course of my life and I will always be thankful to him for that. Lalo led an incredible life and his love of knowledge and learning was contagious to me. Thank you Lalo. You will be missed.
