It's hard to speak about Abby without mentioning his Lady Love Dortha. For twenty years I was their next door neighbor and I rarely saw one without the other. During those many years our friendship slowly developed into much more than an occasional wave or hello as we went about our daily lives.

Our dear Uncle Abby will be sorely missed. Words cannot express our profound sorrow. He was the Patriarch of the family, our "Rock."
Uncle was like a father to me when I came to California in 1979.
He promised his sister Josephine, my mother, that he would look after the newly weds. We were very close.
A few years later, Uncle would become Grandpa or Lolo Abby to my 5 children.

"Abby"---was my Dear Friend. For years-we spoke twice a week by phone. We'd meet at a music or dance venue--as well as at the Santa Ana Elks Lodge.He was the most thoughtful and kind man I've ever met!
