Dr. Abigail DeVaughan Shiver

Rest on in heaven. We loved you but God loved you the most. His Will be done.

MY heart is saddened and heavy to hear of my aunts passing, and to not be able to participate in her home going celebration.

I've found myself reminiscing on the past, and I am happy that I have memories of Aunt Abigail reaching out to me to show me genuine kindness and love. She did this in my youth, and during my adult years while I was grieving the loss of my father and son.

Your mother visited our church often for years and always shared daily devotion pamphlets with us for inspiration. She was an extraordinary woman of God that will be truly missed. You are in our prayers, her legacy will live on.

In the midst of this time we honor and pay tribute to an extraordinary being leaving an indelible mark on the lives of many. I am so incredibly blessed to have been among them, as Dr. Shiver was an integral part of my upbringing.
