The Biggest Dreams Remain
"The man with the golden fingers."
That is how most everyone knew Abner Morales at Fiduciary Trust, where he worked for 11 years as a Lotus software programmer.
"He's a huge loss," said his wife, Norma Morales. "He could program anything."
Mr. Morales, 37, a Brooklyn native, honed his skills at work to provide a comfortable lifestyle for his family. His earnings allowed his wife to stay at home to raise their two children, a girl, 11, and a boy, 2.
The couple, who were each other's first love from high school, had been together for the last 20 years, 17 as husband and wife.
They bought their first house three years ago in Ozone Park, Queens. They looked forward to watching their children grow up on a leafy street with neat lawns and backyard barbecues.
"We had a lot of dreams," Mrs. Morales said. "The biggest dream was having our children. I have them now. I could look at the attacks as in a negative way. But the only thing that keeps me strong are the beautiful things to remember him by. He had a great outlook on life. To know him, you would never forget him."

Didn't know Abner but here in Sandy Utah they put out 3000 flags with cards of the victims and I looked at a few and found Abners. Wanted to let family and friends know your loved one is still in people's thoughts around the country

RIP Cousin Abner! i remember when we were teenagers and how close we were. I know that you are looking down on all of the family and watching over them. Your sisters are always making sure that your kindred spirit stays alive. God Bless your cousin Magdiel Medina
