Not sure what to say?

As a student at Dowling College in 67, he was my advisor as a Political Science major and encouraged me to get my MA and go on to teach history on Long Island for 33 years. Due to his support I was able to have a successful life helping others. A truly great man. God bless! Steve Korin, Dix Hills, NY Age 77

Dr. Almany made a huge contribution to my life. He helped me learn how to look beyond the obvious, to understand the motivations, to have a passion. I can remember his knowing smile and hardy laugh. Thank you. Pete Selda '74

I knew Abe for many many years since his days as a Professor of Political Science at Dowling College. He was a brilliant and brave man and my family and I will always remember him with affection and respect. I learned so much from him. Our thoughts are with you, Nola, and your family.
Susanne and Robert Seperson

Our thoughts are with Nola and all of Albert's family at this time. He was a wonderful man and a great friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The Agthe family.

Uncle Abe will be forever in our hearts. He was my husband's uncle and our oldest son's godfather who carries is French name "Albert". We always had and always will have much admiration for him and his great accomplishments.
Our sympathy goes to his wife, Nola and all his loved ones. May he rest in peace.

I knew "Abe" well. He was a very gentle and warm man, and a piece of important history. He gave me pictures of himself as a prisoner of the Brits ... standing on top of the tunnel he and his colleagues were digging to escape. I wish I had more time with him to learn more.
