I knew Abe for many many years since his days as a Professor of Political Science at Dowling College. He was a brilliant and brave man and my family and I will always remember him with affection and respect. I learned so much from him. Our thoughts are with you, Nola, and your family.

Uncle Abe will be forever in our hearts. He was my husband's uncle and our oldest son's godfather who carries is French name "Albert". We always had and always will have much admiration for him and his great accomplishments.
Our sympathy goes to his wife, Nola and all his loved ones. May he rest in peace.

I knew "Abe" well. He was a very gentle and warm man, and a piece of important history. He gave me pictures of himself as a prisoner of the Brits ... standing on top of the tunnel he and his colleagues were digging to escape. I wish I had more time with him to learn more.
