I can remember when Lila and Blas brought Abe home to Santa Ana, Ca. My mom (Navajo) and Lila were close, close friends, people thought that they were sisters. Yes, Abe was genuine, gentle and respectful. Abe was there for my dad's funeral, another Marine, on the Quechan reservation. In the Hopi tradition we were always welcome, good food and drink. Abe: I remember you as a babe in arms. Our parents were close, you were at my dad's cremation at the 'big house'. Rest in peace little brother. Heavy heart and tears from Australia.

I was a class behind Abe at Kofa and he was always a fine gentleman. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. He will be missed.

Abe, I will miss you and your smile. Wonderful memories of dinners and card games at the Esselman's. I am sure your parents welcome you with open arms.

Grew up down the street with Abe and went thru school. One of the kindest persons i know. Not surprising considering his parents. Such a shock.
