Read MoreAbe was a profoundly kind-hearted and wise man. All my years of visiting New Orleans to see my family-friends, the Gerbers, I would greet Abe who was always so respectful and good-hearted. He left a proud legacy to his sons, all of whom continue to be inspired by his wisdom. I am still moved by his death all these years later, and know that his good soul remains intact.
