Pawtucket- Abraham J. Risho 77 of Woodbine St. died Friday at home. He was the husband of the late Doris B. (deTonnancourt) Risho. He was the owner and operator of Risho’s Market Pawtucket for sixty-five years retiring in 1994.

Born in Pawtucket a son of the late Joseph and Serbo (Anjijian) Risho. He was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket. He was a navy veteran of WWII and received a Purple Heart.

He was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Pawtucket and St. Ephraim’s Church, Central Falls, he was a member of the E.L. Freeman Lodge F&AM for over fifty years, he was a member of the R.I. Food Dealers Association, he was a member of the American Legion Post # 0025 and he attended Providence College.

He leaves five daughters Sharon Letendre of Muthuen, Ma.; Sheila Clough of West Warwick; Sharlene Risho of Pawtucket; Sheryl Rabbitt of Pawtucket; Sharlot McEnery of Seekonk; three sons Joseph, Samuel and George Risho all of Pawtucket; two sisters Linda Risho and Betty Parise both of Pawtucket; one brother Albert Risho of Pawtucket and seventeen grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Rita Risho; Mary Marasa; Lillian Flaherty; Gloria Stempka; Nora Heatherton and David Risho.

His funeral will be on Monday at 9:45 a.m. from Bellows-Falso Funeral Chapel 160 River Rd. Lincoln. Services in Church of the Good Shepherd 490 Broadway Pawtucket at 11 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will be private.
