Not sure what to say?

An incredibly kind and humble man. took care of our three sons and performed a mikvah for all three.
He told some incredible stories of his time in Nazi Europe.
These stories must not be forgotten, they are a sad part of history, but uplifting as to the bravery of these souls.
May his memory forever be a blessing.

Cantor Seif did the circumcision of my oldest son, Avraham Baruch , who two weeks ago just had his own son. I was just looking at the photos yesterday. What a wonderful man. May his memory be of a blessing.

Chazzan Seif was such a wonderful, warm person. He was my mohel, bar-mitzva teacher, choir leader and a dear and close friend of my family and parents. I remember one story he told me that inspired me. .....I was standing near the railroad tracks in New York after the war and I thought, if I were to fall onto those tracks and get runned over by a train, nobody would care or mourn. All my family has been killed and I'm all alone..... Of couse, he persevered and look what he accomplished in his...

I was sad to hear of the passing of Abe. I was the ring bearer at Edith and Abe's wedding. Joanie and I send our sincere condolences to my couzen Edie and the family. We tried to get Abe to perform the bris for my son back in 1971, but since it was on Shabbot, he couldn't travel to Detroit. The articles in the news papers show that he was a great man. He will be missed by all. Love.

Seif the Knife performed my son's bris in 1970. This was the first time we had met, and we had a long time acquaintance since. Son Howie became our "family" mohel after "cutting" into his father's business. Wonderful family.

Cantor Seif, you are missed. Rest well.

My lasting wonderful memory is attending a Bris, when Rabbi Seif took the Chalah and asked me if I wanted the point, to have a boy....My son and twin daughters (Jamie and Jodi Dell) were somewhat grown and I smiled and said give it to my sister..she had a boy.....If I never was fortunate enough to know Rabbi Seif, I would venture from his wonderful son, Rabbi H. Seif, that it was a great life living........marin dell

Dear Edie,
I was saddened to hear of Abe's passing. I am glad you had so many years together and that you have your family around you.
With love,
your cousin Barbara

Count me as another satisfied customer of Cantor Seif in 1953. When we tell stories of him they are always fondly. When we mention his nickname we are met with disbelief that this could not be a true but it was and he lived his life fully with honor and respect he deserved. If I had a son it's Seif I would have called but having a daughter that was not in the cards. He will be missed.

I grew up with the Seif family in south beach and participated in the Shul Choir with Howie and the Cantor for many years. Chazan Seif was a wonderful part of my childhood. My heart goes out to Howie, Debbie, Susie, and Alan and of course Edie on their loss. May Hashem comfort them amongst all the mourners of Zion.
