I worked with Achim at Jake's Concrete until I had a stroke in February of 2006. Although I live in Grand Rapids this did not stop me from keeping in touch with him. I wish he were still here so he could make me smile and bring about some happiness. I will surly miss him and will always keep him in my thoughts, prayers, and heart. I love you brother.

Achim...I only knew you for a few months but we spent a lot of time together hanging out. I have never met anyone with a heart as big as yours. My favorite memory of you will be us in the car with the music cranked singing as loud as we can. I miss your phone calls, your hugs, your kisses, your smile...I will never forget you Ach...I love you and I will always be "your princess".

To the Ostertag family, I was so sorry to hear of your loss. He will always be a good memory for me. One of those cool older brothers.

This one really hurts. Though I have not seen Achim for several many years, my husband Kirk saw him fairly often and we are both truly grieving his loss. Our hearts go out to his family and friends as everyone copes with the loss of such a good person at such a young age. Kirk grew up on the East Side and of course all the kids knew each other but I didn't meet him until high school at which time he was, to me, one of the cutest guys in school! Achim, were do ya start? A great guy with a heart of gold. Always willing to help a man out. I was fortunate to work with Achim for several years at Jake's. Were we developed a great friendship. Although we had both gone are seperate ways as of late we still stayed in contact. Famous for his one liners, you never forgot Achim even aftrer meeting him for the first time. He will be greatly missed by all. Here's to you buddy " Oh my coldy boy!"

Peace be with you.

The old east side neighbors & school friends - such fond memories. We were the best in German class!

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

Deepest sympathy from Borgess Rehab Services.
