Acree Hayes passed peacefully at age 93. A Bedford native, he worked over 25 years in the West Virginia coal mines as a Mine Inspector checking for gas. As a child I always enjoyed coming down to Mr. and Mrs Hayes house, sitting on the pouch talking to them. They were both very special people and will be deeply missed. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Mr. Hayes lived a long and good life and he had a great sense of humor. Hold your fond memories close. My prayers are with you.
