My Family :o) Hi Grandma!

As the hours and days and weeks all run into one another, it is amazing to think that almost a full year has passed since you were taken from us. Even 92 years is too soon. We still miss you so much grandma. We had a family reunion a few weeks ago in honor of you and grandpa. It was so nice to see everyone under happy circumstances. I hope you were watching us. Everyone was dancing and singing and eating delicious food. It was a wonderful time and we hope to make it a yearly event. It...

Grandmother

Grandmother...so many images come to mind
whenever I speak your name;
It seems without you in my life
things have never been the same.

What happened to those lazy days
when I was just a child;
When my life was consumed in you
in your love, and in your smile.

What happened to all those times
when I always looked to you;
No matter what happened in my life
you could make my gray skies blue.

Grandmother, some...

This poem has always held a special place in my heart. I remember the first time I came across it. My cousin Jerry had just passed away. He and I always promised each other that the first one of us who died would come back and tell the other what it was like. Jerry did not waste any time as I found this poem several days after his funeral in the newspaper. Hi Grandma;

I know you already know this, but I got a call from Auntie Carol earlier today letting me know of this great idea for family, friends and all you have touched to express how much you have meant to us.

Well, as a young grandchild you were always "my grandma with the poodles". It wasn't until Pierre chewed off a piece of my finger that you eventually became known as "my grandma with the poodles and my finger", or "the woman with the big man that could swallow a hot...

"The flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it... A thing that does not change with time is a memory of younger days..."

GRANDMA: I'M SIGNING THIS MUCH TOO LATE BECAUSE I JUST FOUND OUT TODAY 3/10/08, FROM YOUR LOVELY DAUGHTER, "MY AUNTIE CAROL," THAT THIS EXISTED. THE WORLD IS VERY EMPTY BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT HERE. I MISS YOU TERRIBLY. I MISS SEEING YOUR FACE LIGHT UP, EVERY TIME I ENTERED THE ROOM. I MISSED YOU CALLING ME ON MY BIRTHDAY. I VERY MUCH MISS TALKING TO YOU ON THE TELEPHONE TO GET THE FAMILY UPDATE. I KNOW YOU'RE WATCHING YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY, SO I HOPE YOU LOVED YOUR FUNERAL MASS WITH THE TRIBUTE...

Grandma, the void is deep and I will never forget our many moments together laughing and joking and just being silly. Those are the greatest memories for me. I love you. Renee
