Funeral for Mrs. Adaline Lucas Davis, 79, of Landersville will be Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at noon at Town Creek No. 1 Missionary Baptist Church in Landersville with the Rev. Leroy Harris officiating and Reynolds Funeral Home directing. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Mrs. Davis, who died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, was born in Roe, Ark., on Nov. 14, 1927, to the late William and Elzina Hopkins Lucas.
Mrs. Davis was educated in the Franklin County school system in Russellville. She retired from Moulton Nursing Home after 17 years of service. She was a member of Town Creek No. 1 Missionary Baptist Church and served faithfully on the Mothers' Board, Choir and Missionary Society. She was married to the late Henry Clark Davis.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Kenneth (Gloria) Davis and Donald (Emma) Davis, all of Decatur; three daughters, Linda Davis of Oxford, Ohio, andJennifer Turney and Pamela Davis, both of Moulton; one brother, Clarence Lucas of Russellville; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Brian Davis, D'Jarvis Davis, Donald Hill Jr., Marcus Lucas, Victor Lucas and Brett Smith.
