Memorial service for Adam Blake Alexander, 26, of Decatur will be Sunday, January 23, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Caudle officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Mr. Alexander, who died Friday, January 21, 2011, at his residence, was born February 15, 1984, in Morgan County to Bentley Alexander and Patricia A. Johnson Alexander Henderson. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Hollis J. Johnson and grandmother, Betty Sandlin Shelton.

He is survived by his father, Bentley Alexander and wife, Karen, of Jasper; mother, Patricia Henderson of Decatur; sister, Abi Alexander of Decatur; grandparents, Durell and Elise Alexander of Decatur; stepbrother, Micah Lawson of Jasper; stepsister, Kristen McCay of Arley; and several aunts and cousins who loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to Decatur Animal Shelter.
