Not sure what to say?

July 4 2013 - If everyone gets a day, this is my Dad's day. I think of him often but especially today.. back yard BBQ for anyone who wanted to come.. family, friends, and friends of family..he worked so hard to provide good food and entertainment on these special days...preparing for weeks ahead and cleaning up for days afterward..completely selfless and never a complaint... I wish I had appreciated it more when he was alive.. I miss him more as time goes on.

Joanne-
There are a gazillion things I will remember about "Grandpa" (Adam was too informal for a child to use & Mr. Batakis was too formal...): Stilts in every size, a slide on the above ground pool, the tree house, the garden, the best potatoes ever (dinner @ 6p!), swings, my only fishing experiences, New Years Eve parties, ice skating in the pool when the liner needed to be replaced, beer, Sheba......

My dad,
I think that my dad will remain so much a part of my life. I received a card from a very good friend today. The words are not hers nor mine but whoever wrote them, wrote them for both of us, about our fathers. Thank you for sharing these words Louise.

you'll see his reflection
and hear his voice echo
in the things he left behind -
in the memories that will touch you
when you least expect them....
in the stories he shared......

Adam was truly a family man and there was no doubt that family was the most important thing to him. I have many good memories, many dinners that Adam put on with the family all around his dining room table, being on a long drive with him and him telling us some great stories from his younger days growing up in Brockton, the day we took down the old tree house in his yard and I stepped into...

In the game of Life, dad played by the rules. He landed a career, bought the car, married a wonderful woman, acquired all the insurances, and added children. He paid his taxes and all his debts. Dad spun the wheel for the last time on Sunday, and today is his day of reckoning.

Dad is in heaven now, counting his blessings. Abundant with love, dad won the game of Life! Go Dad! Jesus said, “For those who have, more will be given…” and dad had a lot of love. He touched so many...

Tony,
I only met your dad once. But I can attest to the sorrow you are feeling. My prayers are with you and with the rest of your family, especially your mom....hold on to your memories.

Ginny and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I can not think of my childhood without thinking of each one of you. I have such fond memories because of all of you. Your home was the most welcoming and loving place and Adam will truly be missed!
