Funeral services will be held for Adam Thomas Baugh, 18, of Magnolia, Arkansas formerly of Ruston, La at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2 under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home of Magnolia, Arkansas with the Reverend Allan Barnes of Dubach, Louisiana officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Cemetery in Dubach, La at 2:00 p.m.
Adam passed away due to injuries sustained in a one-vehicle accident on January 1, 2008. Adam always loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was also a musician who loved playing bass, guitar and writing music. One of his latest endeavors was boxing and mixed martial arts. While living in Ruston, Louisiana, Adam was a member of the Ruston High School Band, a member of the RHS Soccer team and a member of FFA. He also enjoyed playing in the Emmanuel Baptist Church praise band. He later moved to Magnolia, Arkansas where he graduated high school from Magnolia High. While in FFA in Magnolia, Adam received numerous awards in forestry and welding.
He was born to parents Vivian Brazzel Hinton and James Emmett (Jimmy) Baugh on March 20, 1989. He was their second child after sister, Holly and before younger brother Mark. He will be missed by mother Vivian Brazzel Hinton and step-father Terry Hinton; sister, Holly; brother, Mark; father, Jimmy Baugh of Magnolia, Arkansas; step-mother Pat Baugh; half-brother Jeb Baugh, step-brother Cody Lee and step-sister Jaime Ogle; grandparents David and Alice Brazzel of Dubach, LA. Adam is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Allan and Karen Brazzel, Tracy and Allan Barnes, Renee and Champ Branton, Bill Baugh, Jr and Jeanette of Savannah, Ga and Mary and John Watson of Annapolis, Md. He will also be missed by many extended family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lt. Col. William E. Baugh, Sr. and Sis Carroll Baugh.
Pallbearers will be Bill Baugh, Jeb Baugh, Cody Lee, Larry Fitts, Ramsey Ballard and Jamie Harper.
