JACOBUS, Adam Michael, 25, of Montpelier, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 21, 2010. He is survived by his parents, John and Diane Jacobus of Montpelier; a brother, Jason and his wife, Rachel Jacobus, of Ruther Glen; his maternal grandmother, Shirley Lemonavage; paternal grandmother, Mary Jacobus. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Stanley Lemonavage and Daniel Jacobus. Adam became a chef because of his love for cooking and the culinary arts. His passion for sustainable gardening and his cats, Iggy, Lammy, Stroomy and Sylvester were known to all. The family will receive friends on Friday (today), from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in the Nelsen Funeral Home - Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland. A Mass of the Resurrection to celebrate Adam's time here with us will be held Saturday, April 24, at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 105 S. Snead St., Ashland. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to West Hanover Fire Department and Rescue Squad or the Hanover Humane Society.

Wow, one year already. Pictures of us and the family hang on my bedroom wall; I sometimes look at them when I miss you. It brings back lots of memories and emotions. You taught me many things and those things have made the person who I am today.
