Adam Anthony Kurgan

Adam Anthony Kurgan, age 89, passed away June 23, 2016. Adam was born in Marlboro, Massachusetts and served honorably in the Marine Corps. Adam went on to work as a steelworker, salesman, baker and a security supervisor. Adam is survived by his beloved wife Mary Kurgan; his children and stepchildren, Adam (Angela Grosso) Kurgan, Robert (Jacque O'Brien) Kurgan, Paul (Nichole) Kurgan and Joanne (Mark) McIntyre, John (Lynn) Bartczak, Christine Bartczak, Inez (Mike) Rumore, Camille Fischer and Linda (Tom) Nickles. Adam is also survived by his grandchildren Kyle Bartczak, Samantha Fischer, Mark Rumore, Jacob Rumore, Joshua Fischer, Shannon Oliver, Eric Moore, Brian Moore, Elliot Nickles and Jonathon Nickles. Adam is also survived by his son-in-law James Moore and Adam was preceded in death by his daughter Mary Moore. Adam is survived by his brother Robert (Loretta) Kurgan and two nieces Jane & Susan. Adam is survived by his many friends and his beloved dog Melik.

Visitation is Sunday June 26, 2016 from 4 – 8 p.m. at Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C. 108 Illinois St. Lemont, IL 60439. A mass will be held on Monday June 27, 2016 from 12 to 1 pm at the SS Cyril and Methodius Parish 608 Sobieski Street Lemont, IL 60439. Burial with military honors will be held at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at 2:30 pm at 20953 W. Hoff Rd Elwood, IL 60421.
