Adam Merriman

Adam Merriman, 29, of Orange, Texas, died Sunday, March 1, 2009. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Thursday, March 5, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 pm, at Friendship Cemetery in Roganville, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend Olan Gentry. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Adam was born on October 11, 1979, in Orange, Texas. He was the son of Augustus Merriman and Erma Jane Waters Merriman. He loved spending time with friends, loved his mother and daughter and deeply cared for others. Those left to cherish his memory are mother, Jane Gentry of Orange; father, Augustus Merriman of Alaska; step father, Olan Gentry of Mobile, Alabama; grandfather, Earl Waters of Jasper, Texas; daughter, Katlyn Marie Merriman of Port Arthur; sister, Melissa Kovatch of Orange; brother, Mark Gentry of Bridge City; and nephew, Ben Kovatch of Orange. Serving as pallbearers will be W.J. Mullins IV, Jeffery Ferree, Ronnie Rost, Brad Bland, Nathan Ross and Ben Kovatch. Honorary pallbearers will be Rob Tankersley, Brett Boren and Don Ross.
