We all lost a cherished advocate for Norwich University and her husband's Norwich classmates. We will all miss her sweet spirit. May she now Rest in Peace from a life well lived. It was a great partnership I had with Addie when we co-chaired the Guilford 250th anniversary year-long celebration in 2011. Except for one event when I was out of town (& Addie, of course covered for me!) the two of us were at every one of the 50+ events that year (an average of more than one a week!) On one occasion we had two events going on at once & I was at one and Addie at the other. She had a great sense of Guilford traditions, was always gracious, put in endless amounts of work,...

Addie was a joyful force here in Guilford. I got to work with her through the Guilford Historical Society. Here's a photo I took of her in Aug 2019 at a Green River Village day. I worked with Addie on Guilford History for some years and enjoyed her company enormously. Especially memorable was the year we did the VT History Fair about General Phelps. Being with her always felt like being with the most comfortable of wise women and I wished we didn't live at opposite ends of town.
