Not sure what to say?

I had the pleasure of being one of the healthcare workers spending time with Mrs. Becker. Mrs Becker left an indelible impression on me during my three months as her aide. Her sharp memory and zest for life was impressive. I am pleased I had that time with her. To her family, I extend my sympathy.

Adele was a customer for many years at Josephine’s Beauty Salon in Red Bank, owned and operated by my mother. She was a very kind and gracious lady. When I had surgery in 1988, she brought a gift to my mother at the salon to give to me. I’ll never forget her thoughtfulness.

The neighbourhood of Silverton Ave and Cross Street in Little Silver was filled with many original and unique individuals. It was truly a cross section of kind and endearing people. Mrs Becker was the last to leave the neighbourhood and she now gets to join those who passed before her. We can all smile at those wonderful and sometimes wild memories.

I have nothing but fond memories of my elementary and high school years growing up in a neighborhood which included the home of Adele and Joe Becker. Their yard was always open for games, their kitchen table available for discussions, and the hardware store truck for trips to Dairy Queen. Even though I haven't talked with "Mrs. Becker" since my return for my 20th high school reunion, it surprises me how news of her death is so emotional. I was privileged to know her.

I loved Adele. She was a great lady! I will miss our talks and her way of telling us about the family.
