Not sure what to say?

I knew Adele from Okemos Community Church. I think she may have been the success behind John following the expression, "behind every successful man, is a woman." They were a great team (as someone already said.) My best memories of Adele and John are those spent at Pentwater, Michigan where John directed the one-week Methodist family church camp for many years. I remember one year in particular where they brought their grandson (then 5, 6, or 7?). I was fortunate to have a campsite...

Adele and John were very close friends of ours when they lived in Jackson. Wonderful couple. We shared many happy times together both in Jackson and at their Christmas Cove cabin. Adele was always thoughtful, fun loving, and so generous. John and Adele were a great team together! May they both rest in peace. Ellen and Barry Keatley

I was Adele's friend and coworker many years at Kinawa Middle School - Okemos. Adele raised 3 boys and I had 2 stepsons (& a daughter) so we shared stories raising boys. I was blessed to spend some wonderful weekends with Adele & John in Northport and another teacher friend. I loved having Adele as a partner teacher. KMS teachers-administration-staff colleagues were a family that worked hard for Okemos students. I found my way to Northport in the last few years for some visits with Adele...

Besides her goodies from cooking class, Adele had a big heart and never had a negative thing to say about anyone. We were a tight group at KMS and you never forgot those years. Those were the days that we remember as the best of our working years and we know that Adele is smiling down on us.

I’m so sorry to read of Mrs. Cermak’s passing. We were recently talking about her caramel corn recipe that we made at Kinawa. She had a great influence on so many people. Her class was the first of many cooking classes I would enjoy. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
