Adele Cohen

1928 - 2022

COHEN, Adele (Kaye) Adele Kaye Cohen 1928-2022 passed away on the 17th of December. Adele grew up in Newton, attending the Ward School, Weeks Junior High, and Newton High School. She was a proud graduate of the University of Vermont. She lived most of her life in Newton, passing away in the house in which she brought up her children. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Eugene Cohen, with whom she enjoyed many adventures and much joy! She is survived by her brother David H. Kaye, by her children, Neil Cohen and his wife Susan, Andrew Cohen and his wife Joyce Kulhawik, and Marjorie Cohen and her husband Richard Rial, and her granddaughter Annelise Kulhawik Cohen, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Adele ran a successful stationery store in Newton for many years, was an avid Red Sox fan, and enjoyed skiing, tennis, travel, mah-jongg and many games of chance. Services will be private, with a memorial service to be held at a date to be announced.
