ADELE COOPER Obituary

COOPER, Adele Adele Cooper, 99 years old, intact with a zest for life, passed away unexpectedly March 27, 2025, her loving family by her side. Wife of the late Dr. Irving Cooper, who called her "the love of his life." Adored mother of Libby Cooper, Jo Anne Cooper and Susi Cooper. Dear sister of the late Dr. Louis Bardfield and the late Morton Bardfield. Beloved sister-in-law to Claire Bardfield, Judy Bardfield, Joanne Cooper, Louise Cooper, LeeAnn Hirsch, aunt to many nieces and nephews. Adele and Irving made their home into a magnet for relatives, friends and neighbors. Their home was always full of joy and laughter. Insisting on keeping busy, Adele enjoyed working with Libby and Jo Anne at Mobilia Gallery in Cambridge, recently helping to install a new exhibition. She is the heart of our hearts, the soul of our souls, the most amazing mother one could ever hope for. We owe her everything. Graveside Services will be private. A Memorial Service Celebrating Adele's Life will be held at a future date. Levine Chapels, Brookline 617-277-8300 www.levinechapels.com

Visiting Adele and Irving was the first time I ever saw a purple poodle .

Adele and Irving were very very special cousins to me while I attended Harvard. They knew when I needed a home-cooked meal and I believe one of their daughter´s friends dated my roommate for a while. I helped Irving write some professional papers on cessation of smoking and got to know them very well during that time.
So sorry to hear about the loss to the whole family.
