ADELE I. ‘HONEY’ MacGREGOR age 94 of Ledyard passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at her residence.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 6, 1929. Honey married her husband George W. MacGregor in 1949, he died on December 25, 2006.
During George’s Navy career the family moved many times and lived in Valley Stream, NY, Cleveland, OH, Monroe, MI and Groton, CT.
After George retired from the Navy, they moved to Gales Ferry Village in 1967 and operated an organic farm for 55 years. Honey loved her family, her pets and her birds as well as her painting. For many years she knit hats for newborn babies at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital.
Honey is survived by two sons, Scott MacGregor (Maura) of Ledyard, John MacGregor (Roseanne) of Franklin, a daughter, Debra DiMarco (Jim) of Geneva, IL, five grandchildren Susan, Justin, Lana, Ryan and Rachael, seven great grandchildren Bella, George, Kalob, Cearra, Matilda, Emily and Karl and a great great grandchild Kora.

Sorry to read of your mother's/mother-in-law's passing. I last saw her when I was doing homecare physical therapy and she was recovering from some orthopedic surgery. Your parents were down to earth folks who were a pleasure to know! Sue Anderson
