Adele M. Pierce

Adele M. Pierce, age 97 of Brick, NJ passed away on January 9, 2017 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. She was born in Staten Island, NY and lived in White Plains, NY before moving to Brick 12 years ago. She sang in the choir at St. Bernard's Church in White Plains, NY, and was a member of the Woman's Club and Ladies of Charity in White Plains, NY. She was a parishioner at St. Dominic's RC Church in Brick. She is preceded in death by her husband Stanley Wojnowski. Adele is survived by her children Geraldine Cooper, and Stanley Wojnowski; by her sisters Sophie Milin, Patricia Pierce and Jeanette Sawler; by her grandchildren Michael Drazha Cooper and Stefan Cooper, and by her great grandchildren Evan, Ryan, Brody, and Harrison Cooper. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends for a Memorial Mass on Friday January 20, 2017, 10am at St. Dominic's RC Church, 250 Old Squan Rd., Brick, NJ 08724. Cremation was private and under the direction of Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, 885 Mantoloking Rd., Brick, NJ 08723. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
