Adele Barbara Shipman

My condolences to all the family. I worked at Cohoes Head Start many years ago. Though I was fresh out of college, I learned more from Barbara than I ever did there. Leading by example, the respect and dignity she showed to families and coworkers was something that stayed with me as I moved on in my teaching career. I have wonderful, and sometimes amusing, memories of being with her for home visits and parent nights. I am very thankful that I was lucky enough to spend a few years...

I met Barbara at the Bolton Seniors and had many happy meetings and outings with her when I spent summers at Bolton and am sorry that since I moved permanently to Saratoga that I didn't see her more. I will miss her.

Knowing Barbara for the last 25 yrs. has been a great pleasure. I will remember all the time we spent together at Roger´s beach, the laundromats, visiting her at home , at so many of the Senior activities and lastly visiting her in Queensbury. You´ll be missed, Barbara!
