Adele loved to go to the horse racing at Bay Meadows. In fact she taught her grandkids how to bet on the ponies!

I met Adele in 1952, the summer before I married Ninong Jake. After we made our home in The City she became my once and forever best friend. We shared weddings, births and everything in between. She became my daughter Dia,s godmother. Adele loved piano, people, parties and poker! She meant so much to my life. My "Del Del" is forever on my heart.

Adele was instrumental in welcoming my late wife, Terri, and me when we moved to San Francisco in 1989. She was a dear friend who shared our interest in Filipino American history. I visited Adele in Las Vegas a few years ago and regret I haven't seen her since. I am unable to attend her memorial but want to convey my condolences and prayers to her family and friends.
