Adele Vacek

Adele A. Vacek (nee Sladek), 93, beloved wife of the late John G., loving mother of Dr. Margaret (the late Dr. Dennis) Trybus and the late Prof. John J., Cherished Nana to Gretchen (Dr. Nick) Batalis, Dr. Fritz, John Trybus and many animals; great-grandmother to Denny and Jack Batalis; sister of the late Dolores Kral and Vitus Sladek, Jr. Fond aunt to many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Vacek was a dedicated teacher to countless students in Cicero and Berwyn. As a world traveler she shared her love of culture, history and art. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, a founding member of the Czech Mission, and served on the council of the Chicago Archdiocese for European Churches. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Czech Mission of Saints Cyril and Methodius at 9415 Rochester Ave, Brookfield, IL 60513.Visitation will be held Monday, July 18, 3:00-8:00 pm at Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home, 10501 W. Cermak Rd., Westchester, IL 60154. Prayers at the funeral home Tuesday, July 19, at 9:30 am, proceeding to the Czech Mission Church, Brookfield for Mass at 10:30 am.
