Adelino De Azevedo Silva

Adelino Azevedo Silva passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 1, 2021 surrounded by his loving family in his 78th year after a courageous battle with prostate cancer. Loving husband of Zuraida Pereira da Silva, devoted father of Sally Goulart (Helder) and Diane Silva (Tim Bourdeau), and adoring grandfather of AJ Silva Camarinha (Melanie Conde) and Grace and Aidan Goulart. Also survived by several brothers, sisters, and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents Jose Matias Da Silva and Arminda Dias De Azevedo. Born in Fradelos, Vila Nova de Famalicão, Portugal, he immigrated to Canada in 1960 to start a new life and lived in Thompson, Manitoba. Thereafter, he moved to Elliot Lake, Ontario where he worked in mining before residing in London, Ontario. While living in London, he proudly worked at the Ford Motor Company for 25 years. He was an active member and former Treasurer of the Portuguese Club of London. As a husband, father, and grandfather he will be sadly missed during family Sunday dinners. He will always be cherished and remembered in our hearts as we will continue to toast him with his favorite glass of champagne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Family Parish, London, on Thursday, April 8, followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London. Due to Covid 19 restrictions all services will be private.
